Privacy & your choices.

Optional site analytics

Analytics are off until you choose “Allow analytics.” When enabled, we record page paths, an anonymous browser-session ID, product clicks, and timestamps. We do not add your email or full IP address to these analytics events. Your browser stores your analytics choice locally and a random session ID for the current session. Use the footer’s analytics preferences button to change your choice.

Browsing preferences

Recent product previews (up to six gifts) and your article text-size preference are stored only in this browser. Use “Clear history” beside recently viewed gifts to remove that list. Collection links include only the filters you choose; they do not contain your email.

Newsletter requests

The embedded signup form is provided directly by beehiiv. It collects your email, selected frequency, and consent, and requests email confirmation. Beehiiv manages your subscriber record and email preferences. The publisher may access those records to operate the newsletter. Your email is not shared with the retailer by signing up here. Older requests submitted before the native form launched remain in the site’s private database until migrated with consent.

Purchases and referral attribution

Product links lead to A Taste of Kentucky, which handles payment, fulfillment, returns, and its own privacy practices. Links carry campaign tags. If you allow analytics, a random click ID may also be sent to the retailer for matching paid orders. When the store integration is enabled, our reporting stores an order identifier, attributed click ID when available, currency, amount, and date; it does not store customer names, addresses, or payment details.

Service protection

We use an hourly hashed network identifier to limit abusive submissions. Hosting providers may separately process technical logs needed to operate the service. Test traffic can affect analytics, and attribution does not prove that an order would not otherwise have happened.

Saved gifts and sharing

Favorites are stored locally in your browser. Sharing a gift list creates a URL containing product identifiers, not your email or identity. Anyone with that URL can view those products. Clearing browser storage removes your locally saved favorites.

Managing email

Once newsletter sending is live, beehiiv emails include an unsubscribe link and preference controls. Until then, pending requests can be reviewed by the site owner. No lists are sold.
